Learn how to make your own Spring Hand-tied bouquet

  • Jacklands Fishing Lakes, Tickenham Jacklands Bridge, Tickenham bs21 6sg (map)

Spend an evening learning how to create your own stunning spring hand-tied bouquet .

During this workshop we will look at how to choose suitable flowers for this design, how to put together a colour palette and learn how to correctly prepare the flowers so they are ready to use and last as long as possible.

I will then demonstrate to the group how to create a hand-tied bouquet using the traditional dutch method of spiralling the stems. This gives a beautiful loose natural feel to the bouquet and is a technique you can use over and over again when arranging flowers in the home or when creating posies of flowers to give to friends.

Once everyone has made their own bouquet I will show you how to package your bouquet in sustainable wrapping and aqua pack the bouquet for easy transportation. This is the process of creating a bubble of water around the stems of your bouquet, for this technique we will use biodegradable cellophane, again a sustainable way of packaging flowers.

The workshop will end with a question and answer session where I will do my best to answer any further flower arranging questions and give you some of my own top tips for arranging flowers and prolonging the life of your flowers.

During the workshop we will stop for a coffee break and a slice of homemade cake.

Tickets cost £45.00 pp

All materials and refreshments provided.

The workshop will be run in the cafe at Jacklands Fishing Lakes in Tickenham. This gorgeous new venue is situated at the fishing lakes in the beautiful Somerset countryside just outside Nailsea and only 30 minutes from Bristol.
